Eva-Maria is responsible for marketing and communicating h2c’s services. She represents h2c at industry events, discusses market trends with our long-term and potential clients and elaborates together with the management and client services team individual consulting, auditing and training services for each client. Moreover, Eva-Maria coordinates h2c’s events and speaking engagements. She was able to gain practical experience in the hospitality and tourism industry during her time in Egypt and Greece as well as in her traineeship in the South African luxury hotel market. Eva-Maria completed her studies at the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef, Germany, with a major in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Christin Hänsel, Client Services
Christin supports our team by assisting national and international hotel chains as well as independent hotels in the area of distribution strategy optimization and E-Commerce. Both topics where she could gain deeper insights during her studies as well as internships. Christin Hänsel completed her Tourism Management studies with a Bachelor at the Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia and a BS (Diploma) at the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef, Germany. During her two 6-month internships with a Chilean tour operator for round trips through South America as well as the internship at the Thomas Cook AG, Christin gained valuable practical experience, among other topics also in the area of yield management.

Daniel Krisch - Director Client Services

Daniel Krisch, Senior Partner & Director Client Services
In his role as Senior Partner and Director Client Services with h2c, Daniel is instrumental in managing diverse client projects in the field of Hotel E-Marketing and Distribution. For many years his passion is to share knowledge as a trainer and  speaker during national and international events and conferences and helps to foster the understanding of Travel Technology and Travel Management. During his years of working for international hotel chains he acquired the operational skills to advise customers today combined with profound experience in developing successful strategies. Daniel’s education includes a hotel management degree from the WIHOGA in Dortmund and an MBA in Global Business Leadership from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, USA.

Ralph Merten, Senior Vice President
Leading research and strategy development projects belongs to Ralph’s core competencies at h2c. As a career changer he brings experience, perspectives and innovations that our tourism and hospitality clients highly acknowledge. Based on his work in the field of strategic marketing and project management, amongst others at MAN TURBO and Rolls-Royce, he continuously supports aligning h2c’s strategic focus. From 2007, Ralph supervises customized Online Travel Market research projects and has authored several client reports, e.g. for PhoCusWright and Amadeus. His knowledge of the European and Middle East travel market is an important foundation for h2c’s training and consulting work. Further, his interest for economic and finance market developments complements our advisory services. Ralph holds a degree in Aircraft and Aerospace Technology from the Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

Michaela Papenhoff, Managing Director
Michaela Papenhoff founded h2c consulting in 2001. Building on over 20 years of hospitality experience, including front desk, reservations, sales development and public relations at international hotels chains, Michaela early recognized the initial stage of electronic distribution and the great potential of global marketing. In her former function as Director of E-Distribution and E-Marketing at a leading European voluntary hotel chain with more than 200 member hotels, Michaela implemented the company’s first central reservation system and was accountable for all properties’ revenues via electronic channels. Concurrently, she set up a CRS specialists team which trained all associated hotels, thus providing an on-demand knowledge pool. By completing her International Executive MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management/Erasmus University she gained multiple skills in marketing, finance, leadership development und change management; her industry insight initially began with a professional hospitality education program.

Maike Rudnick, Human Resources, Finance & Controlling
Mrs. Rudnick is responsible for finance, accounting and human resources and brings over 14 years of experience to h2c consulting. She began her career at Deutsche Bank as specialist in marketing and business development, and later worked as credit analyst. Prior to joining h2c consulting, Maike was Relationship Manager of Corporate and Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank.

Friederike Schwarz, Client Services & Market Research
At h2c Friederike Schwarz supports international hotel chains in the area of E-marketing, content management and distribution channel optimization. Friederike gained significant insights on the European on- and offline travel markets with a particular focus on the German speaking countries and Scandinavia, where she authored reports on behalf of PhoCusWright. She also conducts training sessions on the development of e-channels in the hospitality industry. Friederike Schwarz holds a BS (Diploma) in Tourism, Event and Hospitality Management from the International School of Management, Dortmund. During her studies, she completed tourism & hospitality internships in Spain, Australia and Malta.

Mona A. Faraj, Managing Partner
A sales & marketing specialist with over 17 years’ experience in Gulf/Middle East hospitality, her career has seen her work with some of the region’s most successful entities. She started with Hilton International and went on to become an executive member of the Rotana Hotels corporate team. There she worked as both Director of Business Development and Corporate Director of Sales & E-Distribution. Most recently she was a founding member and the Chief Marketing Officer for One to One Hospitality – an innovative, fast-growing Middle Eastern hospitality management company. Mona is a Business Administration graduate from the American University of Beirut.

Angie Lacia, Director of Distribution Marketing
Angie has over 17 years experience in the hospitality industry at a senior level and has managed comprehensive e-distribution strategies for multi-unit hotel groups in the Middle East region with Rotana Hotels & Hilton International.
